Lab Media Project

Lab Media Project
Cultural mediation laboratory

Aware that one is both receiver and actor, specialist and novice, formed of a thousand different identities, and pushing to this awareness, mediation is at the heart of K3MK Company's creation process. This will wants to lead to the emergence of a public that is no longer a receiver but an actor.

Indeed, the actors of this project recognize in the research and production of knowledge and artistic expressions, the mode of operation of the most innovative part of our society, but do not forget that culture is a common production. With the will to explore further the modes of artistic production and to diffuse them in the society, they want to register their project of independent form in front of the cultural economic world as in front of the cultural policies, in order to contribute to the creation of a new public space, that of the public.

K3MK Company offers multiple opportunities to discover and practice live performance. Conceived around the programmed shows and projects and in collaboration with K3MK Labs Media Project (division of K3MK Laboratory), the company's mediation actions allow a sensitive approach to art, to better appreciate the contemporary universe of dance, theater and music. K3MK Company and K3MK Laboratory aim to allow the public to engage in cultural practices that open up to the world and develop a social and civic sense.

The collaborative work between the two structures of K3MK brings a know-how and an innovative vision to the projects of K3MK Company.

This collaboration favors the creation of cultural and educational actions accompanying the creative process of the different projects and allows the creation of original mediation actions, adapted and favourable to the emergence of new amateur practices, new relations between the work and the spectator. The public is thus integrated into K3MK Company's projects from their creation.

By participating in the mediation programs, the public will have the opportunity to understand the artists' approach, to enrich their knowledge and their taste for culture. Specific programs will be developed for each audience: artistic and cultural education, discovery workshops (body workshop, workshop in creation and workshop from one view to another), social actions, cultural partnerships, conferences, etc.

Educational files, brochures of activities, presentation of workshops and games will soon be available in our mediation space.

Mediation

You & Us ! Together for an experience !

Here, we want to present you, according to your expectations and your needs, information about our activities and propose you to join us in the places of our performances, our workshops and our events.

Our works are primarily dance, theater, music, but are often enriched with elements that belong to the visual arts and also mix live or electronic music. They are sometimes performances, sometimes on the contrary they keep the form of the show.

We work on the body, the bodies, our bodies, separately, yours and ours, together in the same space, our forgotten contemporary bodies, our cut-up bodies, our obedient bodies, our monstrous resistant bodies, our lost bodies, our aligned bodies, our consumed bodies, our bodies of permanent production...

Sometimes we choose to treat those who dance, given to see, as whole bodies and examples of theories, illustrations, sometimes, rather, we treat them as independent pieces, as our consumed bodies, objects of study, sometimes we simply propose you to explore yours.

Because, you will have understood, in all this, our objective is to find the body.

Indeed, at the origin of this project, was the strange sensation that the artist and researcher, Karry Kamal Karry, responsible for this work, felt : that his body as well as that of others escaped him, that none, in fact, although visible, was certainly there. Her reflection then ventured towards horizons far from the shores of dance, theater and music in order to invent a way to catch up with these bodies. His creative process became an attempt at reconciliation.
