Research and creative residencies

The creative residencies contribute to the development of the research, creation and mediation process of K3MK Company projects.

The residencies are organised in collaboration with partners established in Switzerland, France and Europe, and thus offer a possibility of networking and mobility on the territory and internationally.

Our creative residencies consist of the creation of a new work based on the process of Creative ChoreOsophy (creative art) developed by Karry Kamal Karry and improvisation exercises (music, dance, theatre, ...) and instantaneous composition.

Led by Karry Kamal Karry, the residency brings together the artists of the creative project and a group of participants in mediation as "Spect-Actor" of the project and supervised by the team of "Lab Media Project": Cultural mediation laboratory of K3MK Company.

Our projects will propose 20 creative residencies that will run from January 2023 to May 2025 around the themes of the creations.

"En Coulisse": at the end of each Creative Residency, a public rehearsal is organised to present the creation phase in progress, followed by a time of exchange with the artistic team and the participants, spect-actors of the project. Karry Kamal Karry will explain his project to the public, reveal the way his work is constructed and answer questions from the most curious.

This series of Creative Residencies is a unique opportunity for artists from all disciplines to work together with their own creativity as the main material. Taking an active part in the creation of a new work forces everyone to go beyond their own limits and preconceptions to engage in a true interdisciplinary dialogue. But this project goes beyond the creative residency alone, as it offers several access doors to spect-actors and European citizens: directly, when invited to a creative residency; and indirectly through a documentary film produced by K3MK Productions or a publication "Carnets de création", edited by K3MK Editions, or through the media coverage generated by the company's Creative Residencies in partnership with K3MK MediasKom.
